We were so honored to present a donation to the amazing Tunnel to Towers Foundation — helping provide mortgage-free homes for Gold Star families, injured veterans, and families of fallen first responders. This effort was initiated by the wonderful staff at Special Metals, who partnered with Sandy’s Cares. Thank you for making this possible! We love seeing our local community supporting heroes!

Sandy’s Cares is proud to partner with our friends at Facing Hunger Foodbank to tackle food insecurity right here in the Ashland area! Our support went two ways: not only were we honored to provide a financial donation, but we also served as a Mobile Food Pantry distribution site! Our amazing #AllIn Team volunteered to help get food directly to those in need as winter begins. It was an inspiring day of teamwork and community care.

For decades, they have been a beacon of hope, providing comprehensive care for young people and families right here in the Tri-State area. Sandy’s Gaming at Camp Landing turned two years old this week. We can well remember covering the initial meeting at Boyd County Courthouse in which Revolutionary Racing gave its pitch for the race track and casino. We’ve covered many meetings in which promises were made but not kept. The exact opposite is true about Sandy’s Gaming and Racing. They’ve kept their promise to provide quality gaming and soon racing at their facility. This week, they announced their racing schedule starting in 2026. The mall in Cannonsburg seemed to be dying a slow death prior to the opening of Malibu Jack’s and Sandy’s. We’ve found that some folks don’t go there to gamble but to eat and watch a sporting event on their huge screens. Under roof at Sandy’s is a 74,000-square-foot casino, sportsbook betting and a restaurant. They have more than 700 slot machines to try your luck. If you’re unsure or bashful about how to use a slot machine or place a sports bet, their employees will be glad to show you. Sandy’s Racing & Gaming recently wrapped up its thrilling New Year Ford vs. Chevy truck giveaway, sending two lucky winners home with brand-new trucks, thanks to our generous partners at Mark Porter Ashland and Bill Cole Ford. The grand prizes—an impressive Chevy Silverado and a rugged Ford F-150—were awarded during drawings held on February 28th and March 1st at 11:30 PM. From January 1st to March 1st, players earned entries for the chance to win, with double entries every Wednesday in both January and February. The anticipation was high, and the excitement was contagious as two fortunate winners claimed their prizes. James was the first lucky winner on the opening night and opted for the cash prize option. Sandra, our second winner, took home the keys to a stunning Chevrolet Silverado.
